Giving a rescue animal a loving home brings great joy and contentment. Helping shelters save more pets is something I encourage us all to do. When you use Chickpea to create your memories, you are also helping shelters rescue dogs and cats. A portion of every package fee, up to $60, will be donated to a local animal shelter or agency and you get to choose which one.
I’ve lived with dogs since before I learned to walk and I expect to share the rest of my life with them. I believe strongly that shelter and rescue pets make great companions. I consider myself blessed to have two such dogs in my life. Harry entered my life at the side of my partner eight years ago and has since become not only a terrific cuddle partner but also great photographic inspiration. You will see his big black ears and piercing eyes all over my website.
In 2010 we rescued our newest addition, Lily. She is a Boxer, Bull Terrier, Catahoula mix, or what we call our “Pithoula”. Lily is the clown of the family and while shy with people is also an incredibly affectionate cuddle hound. Now I have two photographic inspirations and when not working, you’ll find me following them on the beach, trail, dog park or city sidewalk with my camera and treats in tow.
